Reviews and stuff x

Hello,
Haven't seen you in a while.
Emza here :) we haven't posted in a while.
So I have decided to do a review of some things each week, whether on my day or on a random day.

2 weeks of no school. Yay!!!

First I'm gonna review a couple of Books I like Ok? I hope thats a yes cos if not well tough skip to the next part!
1) Witch and Wizard- by James Patterson with Gabrielle Charbonne.

I loved this book and have read it so many times! Its about a witch and a wizard (Duh!) except they dont realise that small fact until the are kidnapped in the middle of the night by the New Order and put in a prison for kids. They then lead the resistance against the new order. Im not too good at explaining but read it you might find it good. 8 and a half/10

2) The Hunger Games- Suzanne Collins.
I'm assuming that you've heard of this series and if not where have you been living? On the Moon?
Its about 24 kids who are chosen to fight to the death on live television leaving one victor. The book is written from the point of view as Katniss a hunter who has had to provide for her Mother and Sister since she was 11 years old. Brilliant book and series. 1000/10!!!

3) Ways to live Forever- Sally Nicholls.
Another sad book. But really good. Just found out there is a film and need to watch tomorrow!!!
Its written from the point of view of Sam who is 11 and has been diagnosed with cancer and wants to know lots of facts about different things. He is mainly curious about death probably because he knows hes gonna die soon.

Films!

Oz The Great And Powerful-
Awesome. Funny. Great!
The three ups: Show Up, Keep Up, Stay Up!

Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters
A lot of blood. But I really enjoyed it.

Bridesmaids.

Sooooo Hope You Enjoyed That...

Fairy Wings!

As Emza mentioned on thursday, us and our friends are going to school dressed as fairies this Friday. However we wanted to be different. Oh dear. We decided to hand make them. Here is how we did them.

1) We marked on some cardboard the outline we wanted for our fairy wings. Then we cut them out (duhh)

2) Then we painted one side of the wings and left them to dry... except we got bored so we used the hairdryer to dry that side and paint the other!

3) Then we wrapped the wings with white fabric. After that we shaped it so it fitted the wings nicely.

4) Then we decorated them

TAHHHHH DAHHHHHH!!!

So now here are some pictures...

Boredom. Emzas Day.

Hello
 Live, Love, Laugh
Okay so if you lot reading now, have read the first post you'll know that Thursdays are MY days, God help us all, however I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO!!!
Any ideas appreciated but til then expect the unexpected....

Okay so I need to know how to make fairy wings by Saturday.
No jokes.
Next Friday 6 of my friends, myself and Zana are going to school dressed as fairies.
Its for comic relief dont worry we are still sane.
So any easy ideas for making fairy wings will be helpful and the best idea/suggestion will win the amazing prize of...........
A SMILE IN YOUR NAME.
Wow what a great prize eh?

Howza about I tell you a little about fairies to get you in the mood I will use the greatest homework saviour: Wikipedia.
A fairy (also faery, faerie, fay, fae; euphemistically wee folk, good folk, people of peace, fair folk, etc.) is a type of mythical being or legendary creature, a form of spirit, often described as metaphysical, supernatural or preternatural.
Fairies resemble various beings of other mythologies, though even folklore that uses the term fairy offers many definitions. Sometimes the term describes any magical creature, including goblins or gnomes: at other times, the term only describes a specific type of more ethereal creature.

 Well that was illuminating.

Now what?

Hmmmmmn
Did you know that if you are reading this you are most likely not a squirrel?
Thats scientifically proven.

How to make a banana face mask:

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana,  ripe is best (You can keep ripe bananas in the freezer! (Cool fact. (Wait can you do this put brackets inside brackets?(Oh well)) Though let it defrost before using it)
  • 2 tablespoons o' honey
  • An orange or a lemon (When life give you lemons make orange juice and leave the world wondering how you did it...)

Preparation:

Mash up the banana, then mix in the honey. For best results, put the ingredients in a blender.
Add a few drops of juice from an orange or a lemon.
Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing with a cool washcloth or a steaming warm washcloth.

Well I'm sleepy now so night-night ;)

Reviewing Stuff

Hello
Hey
Howdy
Caio
Hola
Guten Tag
Ummmmmm.
Bonjour
Yeah thats about it.

So............... Gotta love dots.
'Some people are like slinkies not really good for anything but you cant help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs'

Right now I'm listening to summer paradise its a catchy song. What song are you listening to dear viewer?

This post will mainly be done by Emza buuuuut Zana will 'chip' in.

Films are good. Ima gonna list three films I have recently watched and enjoyed aswell as a comment AND the trailer. So here we go...

1) The Avengers Assemble
Who doesnt love a good superhero movie? I love them my absolute favorite kind.
This one i really good it has aliens, it has an invasion, it has the best heros (No spiderman?) and it has a hulk!

2) Hotel Transylvania
Funny. Its about a vampire who built a hotel for monsters but mainly for his daughter so they wont be hurt by the Humans.

3) My sisters keeper. Sooooo sad but a great film. I need to read the book. I ts about a girl who was made especially so that she can give cells and stuff to her sister who has cancer. But then she decides that she doesn't want to do it anymore.

Now then Booooooks. We love reading and here are three good books:

1) I Am Number Four- Pittacus Lore
Zana: I am Number One. This book left me speechless for days. Just kidding I couldn't be speechless for an hour, forget days! But it was good enough for me to lie and say that ;)
This book is another sci-fi, with characters from other worlds. A fast paced, action packed following John Smith - just your average teenager... Except he's not. With other worldly powers he kicks ass in this book about trying to protect earth from the mogadorians - a name that will haunt me to my grave! John is number 4 and the mogadorians after him...what will happen? Dun dun dunnnn

And if you're not into reading, this is still for you because the book is just as good :D Starring Alex Pettyfer (Worth it just to see his face for over an hour) and Dianna Agron (That's right, Quinn from Glee - go gleeks!) this film is truly incredible - such a pity they decided not to do the sequel - another few hours of Alex Pettyfers face? Yes please!
I give this book 9/10
I give the film adaptation 9/10
I give Alex Pettyfers face 10/10

2) Ultraviolet- R.J Anderson
Zana: Ultraviolet tells the tale of a teenage girl who, although seemingly crazy, is in fact rather normal compared to some...
Convinced that she killed the girl that everyone loves, Alison goes crazy and is sent to a mental hospital. Funnily enough along the way, she befriends some aliens...you have to read it to understand that bit fully ;)
I love this book because although none of this could be real, R J Anderson writes it in a way which makes you feel like it could be. Although not the same as her other stories - the series starting with 'Knife' about fairies - I think this could be Andersons next big thing.
I thoroughly recommend reading it, and give it a good 8/10

3) Gone- Micheal Grant
Emza: Everyone ove the age of 15 disapears... However its not all yay no more homework it mor Oh no a psycho monster is trying to kill us!
This series is amazing but not for the fainthearted!

I give it 9/10

Sooooo hope you enjoyed reading that. If you want us to check out your blog put the link below :)
